"Famous Last Words" (2007) is the last CD release for new york singer/songwriter Matt Rocker. After several full-band recordings as "Matt Rocker & the Constituents", he released the one-man solo album "being, human" in 2005. "Famous Last Words" is another self-produced gem by Rocker, this time including a long line of guest performers, creating 11 truly ecclectic sounding tracks with a very consistent theme.

(according to wikipedia) the term âfamous last wordsâ describes 'a sarcastic response to a statement that shows lack of foresight or expresses undue optimism, particularly about a task one plans to undertake..'

Rocker applies that sentiment to themes of self inquiry, personal relationships, and ruminations on 'the life of an artist' against backdrops of power pop, intimate folk, and distorted versions of acid jazz and electronic rock.
