Michael Jones
If we are to have a positive future it will be an aesthetic future Canadian composer and pianist, Michael Jones suggests. Michael, a widely recognized musician, storyteller, writer and thought leader envisions a new leadership story, one that points to a renaissance in human awareness and illuminates the importance of the artistic dimensions of leadership; presence, uniqueness, beauty, grace, voice and wholeness as the foundation for a new leadership journey. Together they form a âcommonsâ â a field of possibility in the personal and collective imagination. Drawing upon compelling personal stories to convey his message and evocative musical performances to deepen it, Michael offers a memorable and transforming experience for his audiences as he outlines a new and inspired vision for sustainable leadership in a time of increasing complexity and rapid change.
Michael is the founding artist of Milwaukee based Narada Records where, for the past twenty- five years, his many music CDâs, including Pianoscapes, Seascapes and After the Rain, (for which he received a Juno nomination in the category of Best Instrumental Artist,) have received international recognition and served as benchmarks for contemporary solo piano recordings. He has performed widely including The International Piano Festival in Montreal, The Parliament of World Religions in Chicago as well as the Setagaya Art Museum in Tokyo Japan and The Seoul Arts Center in Seoul Korea and other venues throughout Canada and The United States.
Michael has performed and presented his ideas in a wide variety of diverse leadership forums including; The Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, The Minneapolis Masterâs Forum, The Milwaukee Business Performance Network, The Innovation Groups Transforming Local Government Conferences, Towers Perrin Tillinghast (Netherlands) The International Leadership Association (ILA), The Banff Leadership Center and The Creative Education Foundation.
