Nigel Owen is a singer songwriter who has been performing around the pubs and clubs of northern England for thirty years.Tired of being asked the question "Got a CD of your songs mate?" he decided to do something about it and this CD is the result.
The 13 tracks included on this album include the first songs he ever wrote, Skid Row about a down and out who busked in Newcastle city centre, and Don't Send Me Your Love about an early girl friend. The most recent track on the album was written in 2005 and is The Devil In The Bottle.
As a young man he was influenced by singers such as Gordon Lightfoot,Tim Hardin and groups such as the Byrds and the U.K.folk-rockers Lindisfarne.Although he now lives in Yorkshire he still holds the North East Of England close to his heart and this is reflected in the tile track On The Road Back To Sunderland and the very last song on the album North Bound Train.
