Singer/Songwriter Dawn McDaniel Graff has been playing piano since age 4, guitar since age 15 and writing since age 16. A seasoned performer in both covers and originals, Dawn has an ecclectic style that makes it easy for her to engage a variety of audiences in a variety of venues.
As a performer, she has entertained in Nashville, Chicago, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Carolina for both intimate and large venue. In Raleigh, NC Dawn has participated as both performer, writer and musical director for the Night of Dreams, a NPO dedicated to the promotion of the arts and raising money for local charities. In June of 2005 Dawn performed her original song "Racing For The Cure" at the Raleigh Race for the Cure sponsored by the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. During a recent midwest tour, she also had the privilege of performing at the River Music Experience in Davenport, IA. For more information, check out rivermusicexperience.org.
As a writer, she coordinated workshops and events for the Nashville Songwriters Association International, had 9 album cuts by a Chicago recording artist,and continues to have numerous performances of her music by other artists. Publishing credits include single song contracts in Nashville and midwest distribution of 3 wedding sheet music pieces.
"Phoenix" her highly anticipated CD is a musical journey that is at times inspiring and reflective, and at others, wistful and humorous. Featuring guest performances of former North Carolina Symphony violinist Dana Friedli, as well as percussionist Brian Tavener and Taylor Roberts of CD Baby Artist "Taylor Roberts Music", her personal writing style and passionate performances provide you with an intimate listening experience and an appreciation of her musicianship.
