Keith Valot - Bassist-Musician-Husband-Father Born January 15, 1969 Brooklyn, N.Y., Raised in Ridgewood, Queens, Residing in Kingston, N.Y. I started playing music at the age of 3. At first it was primarily percussion (pots and pans). As soon as I was enrolled in school, I took a great interest in as many instruments as I could with percussion still being the primary interest. Having played in several local marching bands as well as school bands I was well on my way to being completely absorbed by music, and loving it!!! At the age of 12 I started to branch out from snare drum and bass drum into full trap set playing, as well as trumpet and timpani. While living on Freshpond Road in Ridgewood, Queens, my neighbor and good friend Larry Germinario gave me an old bass guitar replica of a fender precision. I was 13 and this was the single most precious gift anyone had ever given to me. I practiced everyday to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. It was the best of times. Jump forward to 1986 and my family moved from Queens, New York to Kingston, New York at which time I joined the Kingston High School Orchestra on both timpani and double bass. At this time I had already played in several musical groups and relished in the lime light. Having played many shows and forming various rock groups, I was about to meet one of the most influential people of my musical career, Mr. Ron Toth. In 1988 Ron was rehearsing for a gig at the famous âAugies Checkered Flag Loungeâ and needed a bassist to complete the trio. I auditioned and made the cut. We have both since completed many great accomplishments and had numerous separate groups but ultimately converged to complete our single greatest work to date together, âAlloyed Forceâ, released in the summer of 2007. The best is yet to come in the spring of 2008, the release of our 2nd CD which will be the counter part to Alloyed Force. in partnership with CDbaby User tags: Votes: Reviews: Review it!
