Marylandâs own Alan A. Alston, can be tagged as âPsalmist Extraordinaireâ. Singing since the age of 5, Alan has made a name for himself within his local region. He began his singing career in church choirs and radio choirs. A veteran of the U. S. Army, Alan displayed his talents in the Armyâs choir while performing his civil duties. Alan was inspired to sing by listening to such artistsâ as Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Smokie Norful, Patti Labelle, Witness and Commissioned to name a few. He was a member of a local contemporary gospel group called Prophecy, and he also sang with his father and local legend, Joe White, of Joe White and Company (formerly Joe White and the Gospel Flames). He began his solo career in 1998 when the members of Prophecy ventured into various ministries. He is currently a Pastor and Praise & Worship leader. Alanâs passion for singing and love for the gospel will take you on a journey to a powerful and prodigious worship experience.
