Erica Ray was born in Rome, Georgia. At age 2, she began entertaining family and friends with her renditions of her favorite songs by Shania Twain and other popular artists. When Erica was about 8 years old, it was clear that she had a God given talent that needed to be heard. She began singing at Popâs Buffet in Summerville, GA where she was told by a customer to go to Seymour, TN to Big Mamaâs Café to sing. Erica and her family did just that. To their surprise, about a week after returning from the trip, Erica received a letter from Big Mamaâs offering her a recording session in their professional studio where some of country musicâs greatest stars had recorded. Erica was excited to record her first CD of cover songs and named her CD âReflection.â The ball began rolling for Erica. At the age of 10, Erica was being asked to perform at many different functions which include many charity functions. Erica always enjoys giving to her favorite charities such as the Cancer Society, The Alzheimerâs Benefit, and the local Open Door Home. One of Ericaâs favorite events was when she had the opportunity to perform with countryâs number one song writer, Monty Powell. Monty met Erica and was so âblown away by her talentâ as he put it, that he agreed to write a song just for Erica. The song âLivin Out Loudâ is on her new album Home Grown. Erica has also opened for Shirley Alston Reeves of the Shirelles, Johnny Tillitson, Bobby Vee, Bryan Hyland, Mark wills and many others.

Ericaâs new album not only includes a song written by Monty Powell, but several written by Erica herself. Erica loves to write her own music. She plays the guitar and enjoys singing and playing not only her own songs, but others written by great artists such as Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline.

Erica loves to perform and is very committed to reaching her goal as an established singer/song writer. As a young artist, Erica must make tough choices and sacrifices. She now is home schooled because of having to schedule sessions and shows. Although Erica stays very busy with performing, she makes the time to do the things she enjoys such as spending time with family and friends, traveling in the RV with her family to see different parts of the United States, watching fright movies with her dad, having girlâs night out once a week with her mom, and playing with her 3 dogs.
