The Hosepipe Band is a five-piece band which was formed in 1993 and is an English ceilidh / barn-dance band playing traditional and composed material. Rhythmic and melodic, the band's sound combines British and European influences. The band plays at dance venues, folk clubs and festivals and for the normal round of private functions.

Kettleburgh Fete is the band's fifth recording but the first to comprise solely English dance
tracks. The 16-page booklet which accompanies the CD contains instructions for 12 dances
which can be danced to the 12 tracks of music. These instructions are provided by the band's
regular callers.

⢠On the first hearing of this album I was immediately struck by some of the tunes, especially 'Fork in the Road' and the set 'May's Hornpipe / Jet's Hornpipe'.
