"Warlord" is a 21 minute/5-song, one-of-a-kind musical experience about four-time world champion ninja warrior, Tekain Wovoka. It was professionally recorded and manufactured in my home studio and is of the highest quality audio.

I'd have to say⦠âWarlordâ was an interesting project right from the start. I met Tekain at the company we worked for at the time. When I found out what he did I immediately thought MUSIC!! I had just released my first CD, âEnter When Readyâ a year or so before so I was eager to start composing again.

After talking to Tekain and letting him listen to the music I had already composed, we were on. He agreed to the project and I think he was more excited to record the CD than I was, which was fine with me. I appreciated his enthusiasm.

We talked a lot about what it should sound like; he was of American Indian descent (Cherokee to be exact) so the theme was important. You will hear the Indian culture influence throughout the CD along with some voices showing up every now-and-then to tell the story. I spent many hours listening to Tekain tell me his story. Since I really knew nothing about him before this, I needed as much information as possible so the music would capture who he was⦠his spirit. I think I was successful. At just under 21 minutes long, the CD did what we wanted it to do and it said what we wanted to say.

Track 1 (The Paradox) is actually a track from my âEnter When Readyâ CD. I needed something to go behind the narration and âThe Paradoxâ worked perfectly. Besides that, it might get you to check out the CD from whence it came. âEnter When Readyâ will also be available soon on CD Baby so please come back and check it out.

Track 2 (Escape/The Journey Home) represents Tekainâs journeys, trials and tribulations in his quest to become a ninja warrior. The first half (Escape) is Tekain finding himself and dealing with his own inner demons and the second half (The Journey Home) is his return as a warrior.

Track 3 (Warlord) represents Tekainâs interactions with society and his relationship with his trainer and Sensei as he prepares to fight.

Track 4 (One Warrior) represents the fight! He has trained and now that he is ready⦠itâs time.

Track 5 (Victory) represents victory, of course. If you are wondering what (a.k.a. Rocky 15) means, just listen to the clip. If you've ever seen a Rocky movie you'll know. Either way youâll just have to accept the title as blatant sarcasm on my part. Tekain wanted a victory song so what better to emulate than a Rocky movie? If there ever is a Rocky 15 (we are more than 1/3 of the way there already if you count âRocky Balboaâ) I hope they will consider using this song in the movie.
