Prophet Ramón

Brother David R. Weaver, Sr.âs purpose in creating âProphet Ramonâ was to identify the true nature of his ministry without using formal or traditional titles, such as Reverend or Minister.
Prophet Ramon is a living testimony to the difference that prayer and faith can make in oneâs life. His desire is to meet the masses âwhere they liveâ, and impart to them the power of God that brings unspeakable joy and everlasting peace.
Prophet Ramon has had an amazing array of life experiences. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school and was stationed at various bases throughout the United States. In 1985, Prophet Ramon accepted the call to the ministry was licensed and in 1988 received his Ordination as a Baptist Minister. In 2006 he was Ordained as a Local Minister by the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and has conducted numerous rap sessions, revivals, music workshops and church retreats.
Prophet Ramonâs is currently a junior in the BFA-Musical Theatre program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He made his national television debut on âItâs Showtime at the Apolloâ in 1999. His most recent stage appearance was in August Wilsonâs âSeven Guitarsâ (2007).
Prophet Ramon began writing songs when he was a teen, and was also an integral part of his high school choral ensemble. He continued his career in music as a choral member in several church groups and eventually became a choir director and soloist.
âA Call to Armsâ is Prophet Ramonâs second album. Strong gospel roots produce an emotional soul-stirring quality in his music. Prophet Ramon is an energetic African-American committed to combining his talents and experience with others to produce new breakthroughs in social empowerment through the knowledge of and a relationship with the spirit of the living God that is resident in us all.
