Connie was born in Laurel, Mississippi but now calls Lufkin, Texas Home. Her mother played the piano in church and her father was the music director. At age six she knew there was Nothing like Perfect Harmony!! Singing in church and the high school choir, harmony was the only music she knew. It became her ear for music, so much so it was very difficult to sing the lead part of her own songs. She now sings the lead and all the harmonies on her album.

Always having the desire to play the guitar, in 2005 Connie begins taking guitar lessons and soon was writing her own songs. She enjoys recording and entertaining locally however her passion is writing the songs and melodies.

Connie says âI know it is GOD that puts a song in my heart every day. Writing has truly overcome me. My favorite thing to do in writing a song is;⦠Take a bad event or circumstance, find a positive, turn it around, write it down and make it a song. Then hope that it will help someone mend what was unseen. â

A personal favorite quote of Connieâs is: âLife is a Song⦠write it down and pass it along!â

She recently started âWrite Around Texasâ a songwriters association. The association will support area songwriters and Live Music in their communities. It is easy to tell Connie has a true passion to bring âMusic to Lifeâ in her now home town of Lufkin, Texas.
