Details:
"emelo" is a fictional character we created... he is a little magical bean that is a bit clumbsy with his powers, not to mention hard of hearing...
he is in a constant battle with "bird"... his arch and evil nemesis... who is the self proclaimed overlord of the Velonian Empire... he is more interested in reaking havok and enjoying pestering "emelo" than anything else...

each song traces through part of the life of "emelo"

"turn the lights out in the sky" refers to his childhood... in which he constantly denies his magical powers and running from his family and professors who only want to help...

"your eyes are brighter than the sun" refers to his live as a homeless magical bean, traveling the streets and sleeping on sidewalks... this is where bird discovers that he is "emelo" one of the last remaining magical beans... bird imediately begins to create hardships for "emelo", setting up various traps for him to fall in and situations in which he could be destroyed.. this is how he lost his hearing...

"march 26th on the bottom floor" refers his journey out of the homeless life into his true destiny... after a series of trials involving self help groups and consultations involving "bird" and his army desguised as helpful pillow people...
