JoE-LeSs ShOe is a bass-less (not to be confused with base-less) modern jazz trio comprised of the intuitive saxophone stylings of Mr. Matt Otto, the passionate guitar musings of one Jamie Rosenn and the imaginative percussive propulsion of Jason Harnell. These three gentleman have been playing music together since 2000 and have truly developed a fresh and distinctive approach to group improvisation. This, their self titled first release, consists of ten original compositions: five from Jamie, three from Matt, and two from Jason. The compositions range from straight ahead swingers to odd meter explorations to lyrical ballads. The musical landscapes are varied and beautiful and are sure to delight.
