Yolanda LaNay Harris is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She has always loved to sing. As a little girl she would always find herself walking around the house with a âpretendâ microphone singing. Her first public appearance was at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Gay, Georgia with the childrenâs choir. Living in the inner city of Atlanta with her family, Yolandaâs God given gift to sing began to blossom after joining the chorus while a student at Burgess Elementary School under the tutelage of Rosalyn Lewis and later Cynthia Terry while at Thomasville Elementary School. Yolandaâs natural ability to sing was really brought out while a student at Fulton High School under the tutelage of one of the most awesome chorus teachers around, Ms. Bettye Buster. Ms. Buster pushed her to her full potential as an artist and made her realize that she had an awesome gift locked up on the inside of her. It was during this time that she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Yolanda was most inspired by her father, the late, Reverend Joseph Harris. After noticing the gift that God had blessed his daughter with, he continuously exposed her to Gospel Artists. Constantly going to musicals, concerts and other engagements inspired her to pursue a career as an artist. Although it has been a rocky road for Yolanda throughout the years â the ups and downs; heartaches and pain; trials and tribulations; she now realizes that âAll things work together for the good of them that loves the Lord!â

Yolanda currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughters Sherrell and Sheniah. Her favorite artists are Twinkie Clark and Patti Labelle. Her favorite scripture is âI will bless the Lord at all times and His Praises shall continually be in my mouth!â

Yolanda has an awesome testimony. God has truly blessed her. Thanks be to God for the great things He has done and is still doing in her life!
