Patrick Charles Strambler, A.K.A Stram, has been writing and creating music as long as he can remember. Since the age of 8 he has had dreams and aspirations of having a career in the music and entertainment industry. He started to play musical instruments at the age of 11, and at the age of 12 he joined his Junior High School band. His early musical aptitude is not surprising when one considers the musical backgrounds of both his parents: His mother learned how to play the piano at a young age and also took part in her school band, playing the flute. She also grew up singing in the church choir. His father, a drummer, possessed a musical ear / talent that he past along to his son, not knowingly. The talent was the ability to give life to any song by adding certain sounds, claps, base lines, etc...all by ear. Patrick picked up many instruments along the way in his musical development including the drums, cornet, and then eventually, the âMicrophone". Patrick continued his education at the West Texas A&M University and received his degree in general studies with an emphasis in business. Even at a young age he knew in order to become successful in one of the toughest Industries he would need to distance himself from the pack. While others where trying to gain street creditability the hard way ( getting shot, going to jail), Patrick knew that learning the business side of the music Industry would allow him to gain the true knowledge needed that can make or break you. It was then that Patrick and his musical skills grew and the beginning of what is now the title for his up-coming album âSouthern Royaltyâ was born. During the end of his college years to the present day Patrick has been through a lot. In 2000 his 1st daughter was born. The relationship between him and his girlfriend at that time was not good. He had several run ins with the law on different occasions. Getting shot at outside clubs that he DJ, to serving a 9 month probation sentence for an assault case. Patrick Married the mother of his child on Aug.2004. But that didn't last long. A year later they separated and then 3 to 6 months later they divorced. During the divorce Patrick received some more bad news. His father was diagnosis with multiple myeloma, a rare but very serious Cancer. He moved back home to Odessa to be closer to his father. During this time he never stop writing music, he just was not able to do as much. His dreams where put on hold. Patrick while still going through the divorce had another child with his, at that time, wife. But it has too late for reconciliation. The love was over. After his 2nd daughter was born he was involved in an altercation that hit close to home. The altercation landed him in jail. Many court proceedings soon followed. A plea was made. Two years probation anger management, community service, and many fines. But through out the struggles come success.
