Terri DiMarco has come full circle with her new CD, 'Utopia'. A four year endeavor due to some setbacks, it is well worth the wait. The project reveals an artist who has not only grown as a songwriter, but also as a person.

The sound is recognizably Terri DiMarco, but the music is more energetic and the production notably improved. While Terri's first CD, 'Pacific Ocean', focused on her guitar playing, 'Utopia' -- still rich in guitar riffs -- puts more emphasis on the songs. Rather than being the sole guitarist, Terri brought in other axemen to add a different flair to selected songs. 'Utopia' also features bassist Gerald Johnson (from Steve Miller's 'Joker'). Gerald's style grooves with drummer Billy Sullivan's bluesy feel, giving the CD a unique twist on the rock and blues tunes.

"In Your Grace" is a beautiful ballad Terri wrote in memory of her late grandmother. Her desire to find some sense in things and become more enlightened is tastefully expressed in the acoustic rock track "Salvaton".
"Dreaming In Blue" and title track "Utopia" take the listener on an ethereal journey.

During the course of the project, Terri -- a longtime vegetarian and animal activist -- became more involved in events affecting our planet. Although each track is not an anthem regarding these issues, Terri hopes the album will be more to the listener than just a collection of songs. Her wish is that the music will touch those who listen and encourage them to work toward finding utopia.
