Details:
Unacceptable Vegetable by Voluntary Mother Earth

True story behind each song.
- confessed by a certain member of the band, name not disclosed

1. Give us a Tomato â I had a dream. In this particular dream, I was approached by this person whose name I did not know. Later in the dream I was nearly convinced that a TOMATO is the ultimate solution to all the problems of our society today. When I woke up the next morning, I found on my study desk a song all written out on music paper, treble clefs and all. What youâre listening to right now is the outcome of this strange experience of mine. Got a tomato?

2. Free Head for a Free Ride â Back in the 80âs, we had a lot of songs about groupies and other silly unimportant matters of life. Thesedays, however, nobody in the rock&roll field seems to be writing songs like that. Now, this is our low-budget garage-sale version of a song about SEX ON THE ROAD.

3. I said âJust Water, Pleaseâ and She Gave me Sprite â This is modern-day blues. I went to a certain chain restaurant and ordered a cup of water. Next thing you know, I got a glass of Sprite instead. What the fuck?

4. Valley Girl meets Angela and a Long Thin Person somewhere in the Orient â This is our tribute to Frank Zappaâs âValley Girlâ, mixed with a tribute song I wrote to my friend Angela and her then-new boyfriend whom I dubbed âa long thin personâ. This song, basically, makes fun of so-called âLove Songsâ out there that are really about LUST.

5. Jeremy Thorn 2007 â This song was written, back in 2004, for a friend of mine named âJeremy Thornâ, who, back then, was obsessed with Japanese girls. He had never dated a girl before. I wrote this song in a pleasant autumn afternoon, and the next thing you know, he got married to a Japanese girl. Now in 2007 he lives with his wife somewhere in the depths of Osaka, Japan. But you donât care.

6. A Story of the Typical Week of a Starving Musician â The title itself explains it all. This song has NO REDEEMING VALUE to your healthy community.

7. Makes Me Wonder â I was meditating one sunny afternoon. All of a sudden, a voice came down from heavens, and my right brain commenced to recite the phrase âIt makes me wonder, like Stevie Wonderâ many a time. The rest of the song was written in the apartment of aforementioned Jeremy Thorn his-self. This is a song about the test of love. Some dudes out there proudly say "I'd die for you" to their loved ones. That phrase is over-used and old. Now, are you ready to sell your kidney instead?

8. Forgive My Penis â After listening to songs about free head , lust, and selling a kidney, you gotta have a song like this. Nice and refreshing. Latter half of the song is a parody of Michael Jackson his-self.

9. â¦and You Got My Penis Hurt â This song is the ultimate punch line of this album. An evil girl sets him up and watches him make a total-complete-combo-lo-mein-sort-of-fool of himself before her, whom he just got to know and invited over. By âhimâ, I mean a certain member of this band, name not disclosed.

Enjoy your jouney to the absurd with Voluntary Mother Earth.
