Composer, producer and music arranger, Normandeau (guitarist) has fallen into music at a young age. His older brother, Michel Normandeau, co-founder of Harmonium, a famous band of the 70âs in Quebec, showed him the way.
Coups de Coeur transmits a range of emotions and makes us love this album at first sight. From a refined production of thirteen tracks, four songs were selected directly from the American classics repertoire.
Normandeauâs smooth voice takes us on a voyage through time with rhythm and harmony and always a pleasure for the ear. The album is an eclectic mix of jazz-, folk- and rock-infused ballads.
For the production of the album, Normandeau brought together a talented and experienced group of musicians including: Robert Stanley, Pierre Daigneault and Monique Fauteux, ex-members of Harmonium, Marko Tessier, Paul Picard and the remarkable harmonica player Toots Thielemans.
Compositeur, arrangeur et réalisateur, Normandeau (guitariste) est "tombé dans la musique quand il était petit". Son frère aîné, Michel Normandeau, co-fondateur du groupe Harmonium, un groupe culte québecois des années 70, lui a tracé le chemin.
Coups de Coeur offre une gamme riche d'émotions qui se transforme en coup de coeur dès la première écoute.
Une production raffinée de treize titres, dont quatre puisés à même le riche répertoire des chansons de l'Amérique.
La voix feutrée de Normandeau nous accompagne dans un voyage dans le temps dans une harmonie à saveur jazzée, folk et soft-rock.
Normandeau sâest offert la crème des complices en studio : avec les ex-membres dâHarmonium, Robert Stanley (guitare électrique et collaboration aux arrangements), Pierre Daigneault (saxophone) et Monique Fauteux (voix), Marko Tessier (piano), Paul Picard (percussions) et le célèbre harmoniciste de jazz de réputation internationale Toots Thielemans.
