Details:
Doug Dorman is a singer/songwriter living in the Upstate of South Carolina. A long time folk and Celtic musician, he has played in recent years with a number of traditional bluegrass, old-time, and mountain-music musicians. The fifteen songs in his new CD, "3D", draw on all these rich traditions as he shares unique stories from his life and those he sees around him.

Doug plays in two bands, including "Silver Rose", a three piece Celtic trio that includes his wife, Vesta Elliott, and long time friend and collaborator, Bill Landrum. His other band, "The Backcountry Band", is an ever changing mix of Appalachian musicians playing bluegrass and old time classics as well as "new grass" and more contemporary folk music. They have been known to play an extended blues set when the mood strikes or the crowd requests!

Both bands play throughout the Upstate of South Carolina and in western North Carolina.
