I live on a tiny Maine island that's not ruined by light pollution. When I walk my dogs at night I can see millions and millions of stars. Feels like you're right in the center of the Milky Way. It would be a perfect spot for a UFO to land. "Visitor," the animated music video, is dedicated to the hosts of Coast to Coast AM, a late-night talk radio program specializing in the paranormal that I listen to religiously.

Born and raised on a Maine island, Shana Barry sings about visitors from other planets, wild boat rides on stormy seas, homeless people collecting bottles, falling in love and living in an ambulance. Before recording âOverdreamingâ on her four-track, she was co-founder of the slowcore indie band Seekonk. Sheâs also the creator of thefofers.com, a magical world inhabited by kind and gentle beings who live on a special, secret island called North of North Eff. In the summer of 2008, Shana will release âA Giant Whale and A Very Tall Tree,â a musical animated DVD featuring The Fofers.
