Details:
Every Nightâs The Same features 14 original songs by Kyle Knapp and Chris Cusentino. Truly befitting the genre known as Americana, the songs range in style from Folk-Rock, to Blues, to Bluegrass with nearly seamless transitions. Paul Patterson and Sylvia Mitchellâs string arrangements add an element of musicality not available to most bands; Kyle Knappâs sweet melodies are complemented by Chris Cusentinoâs bittersweet lyrics; and Harold Kennedyâs guitar solos are both tasteful and mind-boggling.

The album, arranged to be heard in one sitting, begins with an authentic Americana Country-Rock song "Molly and LeRoy", and moves directly to a foot-stomping Bluegrass song "The Ohio River Took My Baby Away" featuring the lead vocals of none other than Cincinnati music staple Jake Speed. From there the Simon & Garfunkelesqe vocal stylings of Chris Cusentino and Kyle Knapp become come to the foreground with Knappâs folky "These Shaky Hands" and "Freed of the Evening". The album darkens a bit then with Cuzâs poignant anti-love song "Exception to the Rule", but brightens back up quickly with the toe-tapper "D-D-Darlinâ". Kyle Knappâs folk influences resurface on the next medley "Postal Service" and "Free to Sway" before the tongue-in-cheek tribute to Valentineâs Day "Just Another V.D." The ethereal string arrangements of Paul Patterson and Sylvia Mitchell are featured on ""The Way it Goes followed by another anti-love anthem "The Last Time". Knappâs smooth vocals and fingerpicking are decorated by Paulâs classical guitar and Sylviaâs mandolin on "The Jester" and Harold Kennedyâs Telecaster screams on a stripped down Blues Trio version of "The Tuesday Night Blues". The album ends with Sylviaâs piano and Kyleâs guitar on Knappâs grayscale portrait of the Covington, KY neighborhood known as The Mainstrasse Village "This Old Sidewalk".

Chris Cusentino started The Turkeys in 2003, and through a few personnel changes, has struck gold with the current lineup. Since adding Kyle Knapp in fall of 2005, the two have developed a recognizable vocal style and compiled a long list of original tunes with varied styles. His Bluegrass roots show through in his singing and songwriting.

Kyle Knapp moved to Covington from Lexington, KY in 2005 and quickly established himself as a staple in the local music scene. Performing as a solo acoustic act, he became a popular fixture of the Mainstrasse where he and Chris met. He was the songwriter and harmonizing voice that the Turkeys needed, and has put his stamp on the band with his original tunes.

Harold Kennedy came to the Cincinnati area from Splunge, Mississippi by way of Nashville where he played lead guitar for Hank Williams III, Montgomery- Gentry, and Del Shannon. He established himself as a Bluegrass picker in Cincinnati before revealing that he was the best electric guitar player in town. His consummate professionalism and immeasurable talent have given The Turkeys instant credibility in a number of musical genres.

Paul Patterson and Sylvia Mitchell are a truly unique married couple. They play together in two bands: The Turkeys and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. While fiddle and banjo are the usual choices for live instrumentation, the luxury of the studio has allowed Paul and Sylvia to add keyboards, mandolins, guitars, and a string quartet to The Turkeysâ first album.
