The Down Trunks are a Kansas City based rock band. We formed in early 2000. We are currently playing all over the Midwest.

Our influences (in no particular order) include but are not limited to:
Wilco, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Uncle Tupelo, Clem Snide, Johnny Cash, The Grateful Dead, Son Volt, Pete Droge, Whiskeytown, The Old 97's, The Band, The Who, Neil Young, Slobberbone, The Promise Ring, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Kings of Leon, Hank Williams Sr., Ian Moore, Golden Smog, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, The Traveling Wilburys, Willie Nelson, Split Lip Rayfield, Widespread Panic, Govt. Mule, The Samples, The Allman Brothers Band, Pink Floyd, The Honeydogs, and The Freddy Jones Band.
