Rumor pegged Abijah as "the next Bob Marley" when his first single "Revelation" rocketed to #1 on the Jamaican charts a few years ago. Part of why that happened (aside from the two being related & sounding similar - note the "Sun is Shining" remix), was that it hadn't been since Bob's "Redemption Song" that an acoustic feeling song had gained such exposure in Reggae.

But Abijah's blazed his own path. Sure, he's toured Europe & the U.S. - and more is planned with this 2nd CD follow up to his VP Records release - and though Abijah draws from the classic American R&B sound, he has his own style, which works on original rhythms as well as "industry" rhythms (like "Nah Give Up").

Presenting the One Love philosophy internationally, Abijah's been invited to Harvard & Oxford, as well as several Native American reservations. His work in Jamaican schools has also earned him the moniker "Ambassador of Peace."
