Bio

Growing up in family with a huge musical history, I (ya, I am actually writing this myself) chose to spend time on the baseball diamond, in the back yard throwing football, riding bikesâ¦anything to avoid piano practice. After a few years of lessons, I bagged the music thing. With the exception of playing the family set of cow bells occasionally (really, we could all use a little more cowbell), I took a long musical hiatus! It was not until after college that I started playing music again.

After a 10 year break, I was pretty rusty. Heart and soul just wasnât the same as when I was 11! But, with the help of some musically talented friends who invited me into the musical fold (thanks to the whole McBIC team), I started finding my niche. I really loved to play music, but the place where my heart really came alive is when I could combine playing music and worshiping the Creator. For the next 10 years I worshiped and played as much as possible.

Along the way, my wife and I grew a great family with three kids and soon, life was just a blur. Can anyone relate? We were so busy with the tasks of the rat race that we had little time to pursue our hearts desires. One of those, for me, was music. The songs the Lord had given me over the years had grown so dusty that upon request, I could not play them. And that is when the inspiration for this project was birthed.

Combine the nagging of a group of rag tag college kids, a local coffee house, and an affordable recording studio (muchas gracias Jason and Mark!!!), out came âLIFTEDâ. Although I chose not to tackle a full recording project, I am grateful for the songs we did record and the sound that came forward. I pray this music can speak to those that listen and am thankful to have been a part of this amazing process. Thanks again to all who encouraged me along the way!!
