Boyd, who left his band to re-charge and pursue a solo career, will release a special holiday EP entitled âStarLightâ featuring âPalace Hotelâ and a rendition of âAngieâs Song (Baby, Donât You Know?)â, prior to embarking on a holiday tour this December. The ace performer also heads to New York this October for CMJ Music Marathon, as an industry spokesperson on the United States of Americana panel, and he will also perform at a special industry showcase called âCocktails with the Crooner,â at the Top of the Tower at the Beekman Hotel. Additionally, he will perform at the official closing night party of the Americana Music Conference this year.

But come March 2008, Johnny Boyd fans need wait no longer. It marks the much anticipated release of his full-length recording Never Been Blue on Cliffdive Records. Boyd will debut several songs from his forthcoming release at the âCocktails with the Croonerâ event and throughout his holiday tour, including âPalace Hotelâ and fan favorite âAngieâs Song (Baby, Donât You Know?)â. His most recent work finds him flexing his musical muscle and moving beyond territory he explored with Indigo Swing, while staying true to his roots.
