Bain Ennis has made a name for himself over the years as an Ambassador of original North Texas Music; picking and singing his unique brand of tunes across the globe, from Kerrville Campfires, and honky tonks all over Texas, to âDC, Boston, Amsterdam, Osaka, Tbilisi, and beyond. As a founding member of Shermanâs legendary âTone Deaf Cowboysâ, then, through his partnership with Ft. Worthâs Ed Rogers, Matthew Williams (Blarney Brothers, Chuck Rainey Trio, Soul Kitchen), Rodger Harrison (Blarney Brothers, Free Whiski) and Patrick Brooks, formed the âGypsy Troubadoursâ. Ennisâs songs weâre at the core of the success of these bands, and were key to sparking the âYâall-ternativeâ movement in North Texasâ music scene.

Ennis recently slowed down long enough to record his debut solo CD; âRough Cutâs of Basicsâ in Boston. The project has already received much praise for its sublime quality and cross-genre appeal. Williams and Harrison support him on the tracks, as-well-as âTone Deaf Cowboysâ collaborator Larry Martin (to name a few)
