In summation, CS and Lewis is an alternative rock band which takes much influences from artists such as Ben Folds, Supertramp, Muse, John Lennon and Johann Sebastian Bach. It is their aim, through their debut album and albums to come, to infuse contemporary rock music with advanced classical composition techniques, while simultaneously remaining catchier than Happy Birthday. The ever-present piano, being the lead instrument and identifying feature of CS and Lewis' sound, is the defining point of what sets them apart from most music.
The singing embraces a baritone range sprinkled with soprano high points and bass lows, and melds admirably with the piano lead.
