Fusing the melodic and powerful rock of Pearl Jam with the instrumental jams of The Dave Matthews Band, Desirable Sun was already a regional phenomenon by the time the band relocated to Los Angeles in the summer of 1998. Formed by a group of high school friends in Newburgh, Indiana in 1995, the band soon found themselves playing packed shows on the Midwestern college scene, which culminated in the successful release of their eponymously titled debut EP in early 1997.

An ever-more popular fixture on the L.A. scene for over four years, Desirable Sun has been steadily building a following the old-fashioned way: by earning it with their ultra-high energy, gut-thumping live shows at top local venues such as The Roxy and The Whisky, among many others.

The band is currently riding high, coming off a series of sold-out shows on a Midwestern mini-tour. The boys are also busy preparing the release of their new album, which was recorded at Hollywood's famous Enterprise Studios. Recently featured on KLOS, there is a riptide of enthusiasm spreading across not only the airwaves, but among promoters, club owners and fans alike. Rated as one of L.A.'s top unsigned bands in Music Connection magazine, the buzz has started to build. Come feel the Desirable Sun experience.
