It's finally here! THE SPEEDLIMIT YEARS Vol. 2!
After nearly two years of re-mixing, re-mastering and EQ-ing all the original tapes, we are proud to announce that this brand new 14-song CD package is now available for you!
If you were part of the LA music scene during the wild New Wave '80's, you undoubtedly remember one of the local rock mainstays of the strip: SPEEDLIMIT. The band played relentlessly at every memorable (and not so memorable) nightspot during the "New Wave" and "Punk" era including The Whiskey-a-go-go, Roxy, Madame Wong's, and The Troubadour. For several years the bands large following and entourage kept the party happening as they shared stages with Black Flag, The Motels, and other "up and coming" groups of the period. This was during the time when you would see KROQ's legendary DJ Rodney Bingemheimer at the "Starwood" and out and about in the audience.
Speaking of KROQ, (remember ROQ of the 80's?) Speedlimit was on KROQ rotation with their popular re-make of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" in the summer of '81. "Boots" is available on THE SPEEDLIMIT YEARS Vol. 2!
