Jazzmoss is a collaborative project between singer poet Louisa Le Marchand and Ugandan pianist & multi-instrumentalist Kaz Kasozi. The studio album features 10 songs by Louisa and music arranged & produced by Kaz. There is wonderful support from great musicians including the legendary jazz drummer Trevor Tomkins, sax player Art Theman, trumpeter Henry Lowther, clarinetist and sax player Mix Amylo , the amazing Jim Mullen on guitar , bass players Liran Donin and Steve Watts and drummers Ed Williams and Mike Collins with Gill Swan guesting on backing vocals.

The project has been a labour of love that was originaly written in 2001 and then shelved as both Louisa and Kaz pursued other projects. In the latter part of 2006 they resumed the project and completed the live recording sessions in early 2007. The album was previewed in the third week of October '07 with a live set of 6 tracks. The show was well received by a very enthusiastic audience.

Louisa and Kaz have been collaborators on numerous music and multimedia sound and visual projects for the past 8 years and their last project was with the Fusion Factory - an experimental world fusion UK band that drew on diverse influences from around the world. Their 2001 album "Opiate Rhythms" will be issued here on CDbaby soon.
