Classical pianist Jeeyoon Kim Cocchiarella has just released her debut CD, an album of works by Mozart, Debussy, and Liszt. A native of South Korea, she has delighted audiences around the world, with recent debuts at University of Evansville, Indiana University, and GloVil Art Hall in Korea. Also in demand as a teacher and adjudicator, she teaches regularly as an associate instructor of piano as well as a member of the pre-college faculty at Indiana University. She was a judge for this springâs Indiana Music Teachersâ Association Competition, as well as Indianaâa KEY Piano Competition in the fall.

Jeeyoon received the first prize in the Korean Music Teachersâ Association Competition at age 18. She made her debut as a concert performer the same year, performing Beethovenâs Piano Concerto no. 2 with the Camerata Orchestra in Busan, Korea. She was awarded a full scholarship to study at Busan National University, where she graduated in 2002 with top honors.

She studied in Salzburg at the Mozarteum Festival with renowned pedagogue Andrzej Jasinsky, and in 2003, she came to the United States for further musical studies, receiving a Master of Music degree in piano performance in 2005 from Indiana University. Currently she is pursuing a Doctor of Music degree at Indiana University.
