Jeff Haycockâs Natural Fire, a 10 song CD has arrived on the scene and how sweet it is. âI wanted to make a CD that listeners would enjoy from start to finish.â says Haycock. âThe tunes Iâve recorded for this project include new versions of songs from my old bands, Acoustic Junction and The Vengers, as well as original tracks featuring some great musicians.â

Jeff moved from Massachusetts to Colorado in 1989 with friends and fellow musicians Reed and Stewart Foehl, setting their sights on the Front Range as a perfect locale to create and share music. Playing a weekly gig at what was once J.J. McCabes in Boulder, their band Acoustic Junction quickly caught the eyes and ears of the music community and within two years the band was opening for Blues Traveler/Widespread Panic at Red Rocks for nearly ten thousand people. In â95 Haycock started a band called The Vengers, which became the fastest-rising ska outfit in Colorado. The band presented straightforward, energetic, catchy ska without a hint of funk or core with loads of song writing pizzazz and the crowds went wild again!

Natural Fires celebrates the launching of Haycockâs new sound with remixed hits, smooth vocals, great lyrics and tasteful melodies. You can also hear guest musicians: local marimba wiz kid, Andre Malliger, Colorado bluesman, Donnie âChampaign Bluesâ Deere, and mandolin/fiddle ace, Dan Ault.

Covering a wide musical terrain that includes creamy style pop with drizzles of jazz, folk, ska and rock, Haycock has hit the target with his first solo effort. Whatâs even more impressive is that he wrote, produced, arranged, engineered and plays most of the instruments on the disc. âHaving my own recording studio has enabled me to take extra time to craft some of my favorite songs. I know people will really like this CD,â says Haycock.
