Dj.Gilli (Solid Roots) DJ, producer, musician, remixer and vocalist

Versatile in working with a diverse range of music including Latin, African, house, garage, drum n bass, soul, funk, rare grooves and break beats and adding exclusive, live percussion to some of his DJ sets,
With his own recording studio in East London, Gilli works with distinguished performers including former Imagination front man, Leee John; leading drum n bass artists, London Elektricity; vocalist Sharon Scott.
Starting his music career as a bass player for Ashanti 2; Pusher Man; Black II Basic; Leee John and Spontaneous Construction, Gilli has since established himself as a prolific percussionist, didgeridoo player and DJ.

Gilli has:

extensive experience as a DJ in the London club scene including Café Zun Zun at the Vibe Bar, Brick Lane; 333 in Shoreditch; Sound Republic, Leicester Square; Bar Cuba, Kensington; Latinos in Islington and Soho; Home, Leicester Square; Herbal, Shoreditch; Catch 22, Shoreditch; Blue Note, Hoxton Square; Jimmies, Kensington; WKD, Camden; Point 101, Oxford Street; Orange (Old Street); Jazz Bah, Soho and Leicester Square; Camden Palace, Camden; Rhythmic, Islington; The Project, Soho; AKA in Holborn, Pascha UK; resident DJ at Cobden Club, Ladbroke Grove since 1996.

written, produced and performed 'Samba Sun', which is featured on Hospital Records' latest Outpatients 2 album (sample on www.hospitalrecords.com); co-written, produced and performed 'Mind, Body and Soul' with Leee John on Locked on Records; produced remixes of 'Passion' by Leee John and is currently working with Leee on his latest album; co-written, produced, performed and remixed 'Nujam'.
