"Some jaw-droppingly great acts - if only Radio One sounded this fresh, the music world would be a richer place." - John Earls, Channel 4, UK
9 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Down Tempo, POP: Ambient Pop
Show all album songs: Radio Wonderlust Vol.1 Songs
Details:
Radio Wonderlust Vol 1. offers a first taste of Storm Gordon's soulful romanticism & electro-dance rhythms; Dravidian's unique Carnathic-inspired vocal style & mix of Indian+sampled beats; and the surreal collage-songs of Drongo -not forgetting his epic ambient dance-poem 'The Waves' (with music co-written by the Navigator).
Scottish composer/producer David Galbraith , aka the Navigator (ex-Botany 5), has worked closely with these three original & diverse artists to create an album that flows seamlessly from one song to the next - revealing a close underlying bond between them at this time as a musical collective.
Since recording & launching the Radio Wonderlust project together ,
Storm Gordon has gone on to write & record two more albums with David Galbraith (with a 3rd in progress - due for release in 2008), while Dravidian & Drongo have followed their respective musical paths to become Stusounds & Drongomala - and both with further new recordings & releases that are now widely available (check out the MySpace Music sites & weblinks).
It is Radio Wonderlust Vol 1 that brought each of these unique artists & songwriters their first UK, & now wider, international exposure...
