The Soiree Band is a Pittsburgh based horn band that has been working around the Greater Pittsburgh area for years. This is the second CD for the band, with a larger ensemble consisting of nine horns for half of the material and five horns for the remainder. There are strong arrangements by sax and flute player Ray Defade and guitarist Richard Engel. We are also happy to have an arrangement by Grammy award winner Dr. John Wilson on "Since I Fell For You". Dr.Wilson has recently worked with Nancy Wilson on her various projects at The Manchester Craftsmen's Guild in Pittsburgh. Add to this a wonderful singer from New York, Christina Cataldo, a recent Point Park University graduate with strong vocal and interpretive skills, and you get a great sense of what the Soiree Band likes to do.
