Donna Chapel has a rich family heritage in country and gospel music.You can read more about that at her website www.donnachapel.com...She was born in Ft. Knox,Ky.
Her family hails from Neon and Hazard,Ky.She grew up listening to her father ,aunts ,and uncles singing and playing music.Donna would stand up on a kitchen chair as a small girl,and hold a broom for a microphone and sing her heart out!She began her professional career with her father Don Chapel and her soon-to-be-famous step-mother Tammy Wynette.She did the high tenor vocals over Tammy's voice on the first 6 number one songs including "Apt. #9","Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad","Take Me To Your World","My Elusive Dreams","I Don't Wanna Play House"and "D-I-V-O-R-C-E".Donna has appeared numerous times on the Grand Ole Opry and on TNN where her video "Country Man" was the number one new artist video for 3 weeks!Willie Nelson played this video on his first Farm Aid Concert.Donna also has had internet hits on mp3.com for several of her songs including, "When I Need You" that was number one for 2 years running!She has performed a family show for 37 plus years throughout the midwest area.She involves the audience and does a tribute to the Veterans in every show.She currently lives in Nashville and performs at the Ernest Tubb Theatre every Sunday night.She recently completed her first contemporary gospel cd,"THE TREE" which includes many heartfelt songs she hopes will point all to Jeus as the answer to all of lifes trials and tests.More infomation and updates to follow!Check back often!
