Mucky Pup started out on the hardcore side of Metal, birthed during that weird, embarrassing period of Punk when Metal was a big influence on bands. They had a slight Funk edge, predating Primus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' explosion by a few years.

"We won a Bloom County Comic Song Writing contest with the song U-Stink-But-I-Love-U. A 7-inch of that song appeared in the million selling book "Billy and the Boingers Bootleg". YAHOO! It was after this record that we started touring, touring in Europe to be specific. We actually still play a lot of the songs from this record. Nelson Decastro, who did the cover art, now works at Marvel Comics. The video for U-Stink... featured lots of girls from Staten Island and lots of dead fish.
