Details:
Presenter is an exciting and accomplished guitarist from Japan. How does Presenter beget his unique melodies? The creation of each work is a labor of love. Some people believe that the music is created by playing the piece once and then completing it with computer technology. This is far from the truth. Here's how it's accomplished: Presenter chooses the music he desires to use and purchases a full score of the work. He enlarges every page of the score and cuts out the music for each instrument (such as Viola I, II; Flute I, II; Oboe I, II; Trumpet, Horn I, II; Cello, Contrabass, etc. depending upon the music selection). He then pieces together the music for each instrument. This is a complex process, done in one sitting. The music is then arranged and rewritten as necessary. This work is very important to the overall "feel" of the music and requires total concentration. When all the foregoing is completed he begins to play the music for each instrument on a selected guitar. He memorizes the score and plays the music, recording each melody on a separate track of a multi-track recorder. Each track is an original: there are no over dubs. Each guitar is played with a pick. Presenter himself plays all of the parts and via guitar synthesizer, he plays the brass instruments, woodwinds, piano, harp and so on. This part of the process is long and grueling: a 20-second harp solo may take up to a week to create. A typical CD takes 2-3 months in the studio to complete. The result is a beautiful, unparalleled sound that brings new life to the compositions of the Old Masters.
