Melodic rock, catchy lyrics about love lost and gained, harmonies, great guitar, driving bass and drums. Feel good music for the broken-hearted, feel bad music for the naive.

Details:
Formed in 2002, Screaming Mimes have been steadily gaining fans with every song and performance. Their second CD "Tragedy Comic" features some of the finest pop rock writing and performing to come out of the fine melodic tradition of Cincinnati, Ohio. With 11 tracks of ear candy, from all the highs of young love to the lows of bitter break-ups, all set to the soundtrack of heartbeats, heartache and heady love.
David Storm, principal songwriter and guitarist of Screaming Mimes, formed the band with bassist Preston Price and Randy Campbell after they had played together sporadically since meeting in 1997. Jim Farmer came aboard in the Spring of 2002 and they immediately recorded their first 7 song demo. This demo garnered lots of local radio attention with songs such as "TV" and "Man On The Phone". From this early success they set about building a fan base at their shows and recording their first full-length album, Live My Life. A successful album launch in the Winter of 2005 led to more big shows, including 4 successive MidPoint Music Festivals, 2 Earth Days festivals, 2 Redsfests, numerous television and radio appearences, and ultimately performing in front of over 30,000 people at Great American Ball Park. During this period David Storm wrote the songs for Tragedy Comic which they recorded in downtown Cincinnati.
2 years later their work is done and Tragedy Comic is ready for their fans. The sonic quality reflects the musical growth of the band and demonstrates how refined their sound has become. Packed with so many songs that are already fan favorites, Tragedy Comic promises to exceed the success of their last album. The pure frantic rock bliss of "Twister", the chimey plaintive sound of "Sleeping With The Emily", the tongue-in-cheek rock of "Superdave", the heavy disco drive of "More Than Ever"... it all comes together with a few surprises that the band has never shared with their fans - until now.
