"Deacon" Ed Evans was born to Dennis and Olevia Evans in Shreveport, Louisiana. At the age of five years old, Ed was already singing Christmas songs and gospel songs in church plays. At age 16 Ed moved to California and joined Holy Deliverance Ministries and received The Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. There he began singing in the choir, traveling to various cities and taping T.V. ministry services. Later Ed began writing and recording his own gospel songs.

Ed has one CD to his credit, Sanctified Woman, which is a collection of his best 11 songs which he personally wrote and performs, including all vocals. The title track, "Sanctified Woman," will be featured in the upcoming "Transparent" movie series starring Bishop T.D. Jakes and Bishop Noel Jones! All music/instrumentation was played and recorded by a musician in Chatsworth, California whose name is on the CD. I know that you will enjoy this musical gift that God has prepared for you. Mr. "Deacon" Ed Evans has performed in many gospel plays at the Miracle Theater and a host of churches as well as other organizations.
