Susan Harper plays organic folk/rock with a soulful groove. Her debut release âUnpredictableâ showcases the Seattle singer-songwriterâs charisma and stage presence.

The songs on âUnpredictableâ have a sincerity and sense of self. So much so that Susan jokes that she plays âself-help rockâ. But the passion and push of these songs lies in her delivery. Her raw emotion is reminiscent of performers like Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick, Ani Difranco and KT Tunstall.

This CD is full of surprises, moving from slow ballads to high energy mood enhancers. Susan counts Natalie Merchant, Heart, Annie Lennox, Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon among her many influences.

She started writing songs in 1992, after moving to Seattle from eastern Washington. She dove into Seattleâs environmental and social justice movement, and entered the world of music and activism. She performs with a band or as a solo artist, playing her original songs.
