Set out on a long night drive across the country with the window down , and acoustic roots guitar to slide you on your way and make the time pass like a sweet dream.
11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Roots Rock, COUNTRY: Country Folk
Details:
Stole a train from New York City to San Francisco, wrote a few songs along the way. Met Clay Hawkins out there and built the studio where they recorded every tuesday night for a little over a year, over a few beers and with some good friends . "it's not a bad thing to do for a living, if it was just that easy ,it's not paying the bills just yet"-
Ed picked up a used guitar about 18 years ago and taught himself to play, getting tips from other musicians along the way- I think he paid about $150 bucks for that guitar, still has it to this day.
"I never thought of being a musician, it just kinda snuck up on me one day, and I figured, what the hell, just go for it"
I'll be playing the West coast in the winter of 05/06, and should be around the East later that Spring 06- Check out the website, edmattson.com ,which should be completed soon, for upcoming shows and other stuff- feel free to send me an email-
