Their self titled debut CD is a reflection of the diverse influences of it's members. There is a bit of everything in there all filtered and combined in a way that speaks to the years of professional experience this band has had both collectively and individually.
Since their debut concert in Dec. 2002, things have only been getting better. Recently, Eightrack Mind has opened for The Wailers, Eek-A-Mouse, Tone-Loc, Heiruspecs, Digital Underground, Young MC, The Crown City Rockers, Wu-tang, Hieroglyphics, Blackalicious and numerous other national acts.
The history and chemistry between the musicians explains the exponential rate of their success. One of the MC's, for years deeply rooted in the hip hop culture, hails from Boston. The other MC has been working with professional acts from Pittsburgh to the West Coast. Back these two lyrical experts with the professional musicians that make up the backbone of Eightrack Mind, add DJ Bones from the Vinyl Surgeons and you've got an act that grabs all listeners.
