Dynasty is a duo. Jennifer (aka Desiree) DeVeau is lead singer and plays bass and synth. She originally cut her teeth touring the UK as a teenager with an all-girl Beatles cover band (aptly known as Girl) and was active in New York girl punk band Secret Weapon. Seth Misterka plays sax, electric guitar, synth, back-up vocals, and programs drums. Misterka is a jazz/rock iconoclast, moving freely between the improv and underground circles of NYC. His varied career has seen him playing with experimental artists Anthony Braxton and William Parker as well as indie-rock acts The Fever, SuperSystem, and The Boggs. The two met an east-village bar in 2001 and formed Dynasty shortly thereafter. Their powerful on-stage chemistry won them a devoted following in NYC, and they began touring the eastern U.S. as well as Japan and Taiwan in 2005.
