Counting your way through the blues progression is an absolutely crucial step on the road to blues harmonica mastery. One of my YouTube subscribers has used my lessons 18-20 to create this color-coded 12-bar masterpiece. What I especially like about it is that divided twelfth bar, which has one beat of I chord followed by three beats of V chord. Most 12-bar templates miss that. (Usually they show the entire 12th bar as V chord, which isn't what working blues guys actually do. We play what's called a cadence, beginning on the first beat of bar 11 and continuing for the next four beats. The first beat of bar 12 is almost always where we land on the tonic note again--and this sounds best with the tonic or I chord behind it. THEN we swing into the V chord for those last three beats of bar 12 before beginning the 12 bar progression all over again.)

This template is a MUST, if you're serious about the instrument. Please share it! And use it in conjunction with YT lessons 18-20.
