Alien Elixir 1.0 has been described as having much in common with George Benson, Pat Metheny and Al Di Meola. But, tucked inside these Jazz inspired arrangements are flashes of 70's Funk, Electronica, Progressive Rock and ambient textures usually associated with New Age music. With such diverse genres influencing the overall sonic outcome, itâs impossible to cleanly insert this CD into one category. So, how does it work?

John Bradley a.k.a. Dr. Kill, the man behind Alien Elixir's eclectic sound explains, "My main instrument is guitar, but, I didn't want to make a typical guitar album. With the exception of Blue Jazz, these songs began as bass grooves or piano noodling. Different moods were created by writing this way and it challenged how I went about producing these songs. The finish product would be like listening to a commercial free hour of âdrive timeâ radio. I arranged the music and the track order to create the feeling of riding a gridlock busting emotional wave. Something weâd all prefer to be doing instead of being stuck on I-35 at 5:00 P.M. here in Dallas!"
