Nearly 4 years in the making, this CD showcases a drastically new and improved sound for - anonymous. With their 2001 debut (All We Have is Now) long behind them, meet anonymous begins with an homage to the bandâs roots, then quickly introduces you to an updated new sound.

While this album does well capturing the fun, high-energy spirit that has become of staple of their live shows in North Carolina with songs like âOn Top of the Worldâ and the epic album closing âhangover,â meet anonymous also offers listeners a more intimate snapshot and deeper understanding of the band and its growing philosophies with songs like âThe Queenâ and âClassified.â

"I don't think we could have created a better concept album if we had done all this stuff on purpose, but it somehow just created itself," says the album's producer John Loy, preservation audio engineer at UNC Chapel Hill.

"This CD has taken on a life of it's own. These are songs that exist and entertain completely independent from their live version cousins. They have a different impact on the listener and exist on a higher and more multi-dimensional level. There are things in this particular project that people will not hear until the third or forth listen that contribute to the overall listening experience and continued enjoyment. The CD is not something you can get to know on just the first listen, much like meeting a person."

Anonymous has shared the stage on several occasions with Perpetual Groove from Athens, Georgia, Brad Corrigan of Dispatch, Asheville favorites Yo Mamaâs Big Fat Booty Band, Green Lemon from Ft. Collins, Colorado, and even the drummer of Lynard Skynard â Artimus Pile.
