Ari Gold's Award Winning Critically Acclaimed New Album.
Transport Systems is about movement and progression: moving through past injuries so as to come out on the other side, letting go of all internalized phobias, moving toward a time and place where we are beyond strict boundaries and constricting labels, beyond black and white, beyond binary gender and sexuality, beyond all simplistic ideas of identity.
Music is the ultimate transport system. It allows us to escape the world while still being engaged with it. It moves usâphysically, metaphysically and emotionally. Music can also lead us forward into the future.
Go where the music takes you andâ¦transport yourself.
***GRAND PRIZE WINNER!! USA Songwriting Competition "Where The Music Takes You" (FIRST PRIZE IN POP CATEGORY)***
***WINNER!! INDEPENDANT MUSIC AWARD - BEST R&B SONG: "Love Wasn't Built In a Day" featuring Dave Koz***
WHAT INDUSTRY AND PRESS ARE SAYING ABOUT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS:
âAri wrote a very personal album and the lyrics attest to the battles that heâs been through... he writes from the heart.â
- CLIVE DAVIS
âGold takes the listener to fresh places.â
- PEOPLE Magazine
âAri Gold combines everything we ever loved about Michael and Janet...and Transport Systems is pretty much his Thriller--a musically and lyrically ambitious tour de force of modern sexuality, as concerned with turning heads as it is torsos. Its the kind of exuberant soul boogie George Michael once made...and it gives us hope for the future of sexy pop.â
- INSTINCT Magazine
âAri Gold certainly stands out from the pack...[he] deserves credit for tackling lyrical subjects not usually linked with dance pop which he boldly does throughout Transport Systems.â - ALL MUSIC GUIDE
âGoldâs music is both a declaration of love and a passionate rendition of identity politics. Luckily, Transport Systems is also ridiculously catchy, locking Goldâs themes into another firm R&B tradition â sneaking in the subversive lyrics through smooth vocals and clean production.â
- The FORWARD
âGold's arrangements combine house, R&B, pop, electro, hip-hop, smooth jazz and rock, both soft and hard, with his soulful vocals for a radio-ready album that sounds like a greatest-hits collection.â - GAY.COM
"âA true pop collection infused with R&B danceable rhythms and slick production, Transport Systems is an album that for my money ranks up there with that of the years breakout artist Robin Thicke...a brilliant album.â - GAYWIRED.COM
âA pop music masterpiece.â
â OUT&ABOUT, Nashville

* #1 Video of 2007 on LOGO for "Where The Music Takes You"
* #1 Emerging Artist on Planet Out

Transport Systems is about movement and progression, transportation and transformation. Beneath infectious grooves, thick harmonies and melodic hooks, the album boasts topics ranging from the down low phenomenon (âMr. Mistressâ), gender identity (âTransport Meâ), gay relationships (âGood Relationship)â, spirituality and forgiveness (âI Can Forgive You,â), crystal meth addiction (âFeeding The Fireâ) and human rights (âHumanâ). For the first single, the horn driven, earth wind and fire-esque retro house jam âWhere The Music Takes You,â Gold collaborated with Emmy Award Winning Producer Joe Hogue (of >HitPlay) and VH1âs âBorn To Divaâ Sasha Allen to express the eternal theme of âTo thine own self you can be true.â
Multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated Capitol records out artist Dave Koz lends his smooth sound to prove that âLove Wasnât Built In A Day.â âMr. Mistress,â an unlikely R&B/Disco record, comes from the perspective of a man who finds out heâs having an affair with a married man; Ari sings, âI wonât be your Mr. Mistress / Wonât be your man on the side / What you gonna tell your wife and children? / That you creep on the down low and youâve been telling them lies?â On âRide To Heaven, â Ari pays homage to his dance roots--having literally come out of the NYC club scene--with this cheeky, electro disco romp. For âTransport Meâ Ari worked with longtime collaborator Steve Skinner (Akon, Jewel, Dian Ross) to imagine being transported âto another place / another timeâ where there are no limitations to the concepts of gender, sexuality and race: âTake me someplace where the core of me isnât up for debateâ¦.the system is not working / this system is flawed.â
Not since Eminem performed with Elton John have we heard a collaboration between a gay soul singer and a straight hip-hop artist as on âHumanâ with special guest rapper, Mr. Man--a reworking of the 80âs Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis penned Human League hit, turned into a human rights anthem. To complete the sonic landscape of Transport Systems, Ari teamed up with 2x Grammy award winning mixer, engineer and producer Bob Rosa for the finishing touches.
Sexy, smart and soulful, the buzz has already begun that Transport Systems is a breakthrough album for this groundbreaking artist.
