The Gift of Praise ("GOP") being organized in 1989 consist of Hamisi Jackson, Gloria Frierson, David Horne, Janet and Arthur Sutton is a self contained group of writers, musicians and vocalist who adhere to an age old principle in a new and exciting way.

There is never a dull moment in their journey of Christian philosophy, embellished with gospel musical arrangements that only Arthur Sutton & The Gift of Praise can create. GOP is very versatile and easily moves through traditional gospel music as well as contemporary gospel music of this era.

GOP has traveled across the U.S.A. and internationally performing with some of the top recording artist on the gospel charts such as Yolanda Adams, The Canton Spirituals, The Williams Brothers, Ricky Dillard's New Generation Chorale, Beverly Crawford, Vicki Winans, sing background for Albertina Walker, Dorothy Norwood, Angela Spivey, Rance Allen, Lonnie Hunter and St. Mark, John P. Kee, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, Shirley Ceasar, Helen Baylor, Traimaine Hawkins, Pilgrim Jubilees, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QCs, Karen Clark Sheard, Darryl Coley, The Barrett Sisters and Paul Porter and The Christianairs. Although the group was developed in the traditional gospel arena, they have performed with gospel acts of great influence and yet is a delightful blend of rich spiritual vocal arrangements, and at the same time very agreeable to any music listeners ear.
