Beldon is a classically trained and self-taught in rock and folk traditions. His early musical influences were everything from '50s and '60s pop-rock to jazz to psychedelia to hard-core punk. He's kept his musical tastes current as well as holding on to his early influences.

Beldon now lives in Connecticut with his wife, two dogs, and a cat.
